Marketing Specialist – SEO, AI Search & Content

Summertown Metals is seeking a full-time Marketing Specialist – SEO, AI Search & Content to support search visibility, website content, AI search optimization, email marketing, social media coordination, and general marketing execution across the Summertown Metals brand.

This role is focused on helping Summertown Metals show up well in Google, AI-powered search results, and other digital channels by creating clear, helpful, customer-focused content. The right candidate should understand how customers search, compare, and research products online.

This is not primarily a graphic design role. Summertown Metals has a graphic designer on staff. This position will work alongside the designer to provide copy, content direction, campaign needs, and project coordination.

Key Responsibilities

• Support SEO strategy, website content, and search visibility across company websites.
• Help improve visibility in Google Search, AI search, AI Overviews, and other answer-based search platforms.
• Research keywords, customer questions, content gaps, and industry topics.
• Write and coordinate website content, blogs, FAQs, guides, landing pages, email content, and social media content.
• Assist with website updates, basic page layout improvements, landing pages, and ongoing website management.
• Support on-page SEO including headings, page titles, metadata, internal linking, content structure, and search-friendly copy.
• Help identify opportunities for structured content, FAQs, schema markup, and AI-search-friendly content.
• Support email marketing, customer follow-up messages, and basic marketing automations.
• Coordinate with the in-house graphic designer, marketing team, sales team, branch teams, vendors, and partners.
• Maintain consistent brand voice and messaging across website, email, social media, print, and campaign materials.
• Review content and website performance and recommend practical improvements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• SEO experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience or working knowledge of AI search, answer engine optimization, AI Overviews, structured content, or emerging search trends preferred.
• Some experience with website design, website management, CMS platforms, landing pages, page layouts, or website content updates preferred.
• Experience with content writing, email marketing, local SEO, social media, or campaign coordination preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to write clear, helpful, customer-focused marketing content.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities.
• Dependable, self-motivated, and willing to take ownership of assigned responsibilities.

Work Schedule

• Full-time position scheduled Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
• This position totals 50 hours per week.
• Summertown, TN office or Morristown, TN office.
• Some projects, deadlines, or company needs may occasionally require work outside normal business hours.
