What are the responsibilities and job description for the Garage Door Warehouse position at Summertown Metals, LLC?
Summertown Metals is looking for a self-motivated, hardworking individual to work in our garage door warehouse. This is a full-time position that is eligible for benefits such as medical, dental, vision, accident, critical illness, hospital indemnity, STD, LTD, 401K with a company match, PTO and vacation time.
Job duties include, but are not limited to
- Unloading, quality checking, and staging garage doors from delivery trucks.
- Staging and loading doors, trucks, trailers, and lifts for installers, customers, and the shipping department daily.
- Assist warehouse manager with monthly inventory, reporting, order requests, and removal of dead doors.
- Door location and information kept up to date in Access.
- Sorting, documenting, and moving leftover/damaged doors out of warehouse.
- Maintain respectful communication to customers and other team members.
- Monitor and maintain tools, equipment, and workspace. Report maintenance/repairs needed.
- Restock all garage door parts.
- Report damages caused by you or others the same day as they occur or as soon as possible.
- Advise on improvements to our processes when possible and/or tools you need to be successful.
- Stock area full, organized, and neat.
- Installers are loaded accurately and off property in a timely manner.
- Inventory is current and available.
- Leftover/damaged doors are organized and labeled and placed in the dead door area neatly.
- Help keep garage door yard/warehouse space clean and organized.
