Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development and management of the company's annual budget and financial forecasts. Monitor budget performance and provide recommendations for cost optimization.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making, including variance analysis, cost control, and profitability assessments. Identify trends, potential risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- General Ledger Management: Maintain the general ledger, reconcile accounts, and resolve discrepancies. Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Tax Compliance: Prepare and submit accurate and timely tax returns, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local tax regulations. Stay up-to-date with tax law changes and advise on tax planning strategies.
- Audit Support: Assist in the coordination of financial audits by external auditors. Prepare audit schedules and respond to auditor inquiries.
- Financial Systems: Manage and optimize financial systems and accounting software, ensuring data accuracy and efficient workflow.
- Financial Policy and Procedure Development: Develop, implement, and enforce financial policies and procedures to ensure internal controls and compliance.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, procurement, and senior management, to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
- Assist as necessary with payroll.
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience/Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification is a plus.
- Proven experience as an accountant, with a minimum of 1 years in a senior accounting role and 3 years of total accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Salary : $80,000 - $95,000
