The Resident Services Director oversees life enrichment programs, housekeeping, transportation, and dining services, ensuring the highest standards of hospitality and care are met.
Job Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
Life Enrichment Programs
- Develop and implement a schedule of social, physical, and mental activities to enhance residents' well-being.
- Create and distribute the monthly activity calendar and newsletter for residents and staff.
- Motivate residents to participate in programs, considering their unique preferences and limitations.
Dining Services
- Oversee dining room operations to ensure exceptional service and a welcoming atmosphere.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to meet dietary preferences and address resident feedback.
Transportation
- Schedule and coordinate resident transportation needs for outings, appointments, and events.
- Ensure vehicles are clean, well-maintained, and adhere to all safety protocols.
Housekeeping
- Supervise housekeeping staff to maintain cleanliness in resident apartments, common areas, and offices.
- Address maintenance concerns and submit work orders as needed.
Miscellaneous
- Manage Resident Services Assistants, providing training, scheduling, and support.
- Maintain professionalism and confidentiality while addressing resident and family concerns.
- Ensure compliance with community policies, safety standards, and regulatory guidelines.
- Participation in the Manager on Duty (MOD) rotation is a requirement for all directors.
Qualifications:
- Proven leadership experience in a hospitality or senior living setting.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with activity planning, dining services, and transportation logistics is preferred.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and housekeeping standards.
