Summer Learning Program
7:30 am-12:30 pm
PD Day (1): June 15, 2026
Student Days (22): June 16-July 22, 2026 (Monday-Thursday)
Holidays (2): Juneteenth (June 19, 2026) and 4th of July (July 3, 2026)
Position Overview:
Elementary/Middle Level Summer Learning Program is seeking energetic, passionate, and creative para educators to assist with student engagement in learning activities.
Responsibilities:

Support activity stations, model activities, and supervise student groups

Support educational, athletic, and recreational programming
-
Ensure safety and positive behavior among students
-
Help differentiate for various grade and skill levels
-
Work collaboratively with fellow staff
-
Remain engaged and active for the full program duration
Qualifications:
-
Experience working with children in an educational or recreational setting
-
Ability to support large groups with confidence and care
-
Comfort working indoor and outdoors in various weather conditions
-
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able and willing to stand, walk, and remain physically active indoor and outdoors for extended periods.
Summer Program Selection Criteria:
- Commitment to working all Summer Program dates.
- Summer Program Para Educator/grade level experience preferred.
- Seniority within the bargaining unit.
