Responsible for sheet metal fabrication, machining, and production setup for aircraft components using manual and CNC machines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret blueprints, sketches, and specifications to plan work sequence and setups
- Operate and set up machine tools (CNC/manual), perform fabrication and assembly of parts
- Inspect finished parts using measuring tools and ensure quality standards
- Maintain tools, equipment, and production records
- Follow safety procedures and use PPE
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma 6 years machinist experience OR Associate’s degree 2 years’ experience
- Ability to work overtime/weekends and obtain security clearance
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with CNC/manual machining or sheet metal fabrication
- Familiarity with machines like AMADA, FADAL, HAAS
- Knowledge of blueprints, inspections, and shop math
- Trade certification (Journeyman) preferred
- Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills
