What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machinist position at Donatech Corporation?
Position would require the candidate to be a W2 employee of Donatech.
US Citizenship Required.
- These positions interpret blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications; determine sequence of operations, number of cuts required and method of setup and arrangement; work with a variety of machinists hand tools and precision measuring instruments; make shop computations; and fit and put together precision parts and determine material, parts and equipment required.
- Fabricates piece parts per work instructions, drawings and specifications through the use of required machine tools. Inspects piece parts per work instruction and drawing requirements. Sets up and operates machine tools.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Uses, adjusts, cleans and stores the tools, machinery and equipment used.
- Keeps records and reports of the use of equipment.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior machinist experience or 2 years post. Secondary/Associates Degree with 2 years of prior machinist experience.
- Must wear approved PPE
- Must be able to work weekends, overtime and other shifts as required
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience as a manual machinist on a conventional lathe and CNC machining or sheet metal fabricator in an industrial / manufacturing environment
- Hand-forming experience and/or manual machining experience is a plus
- Familiar with the following machines: AMADA, FADAL or HAAS.
- A trade school certification or state-licensed Journeyman Machinist certification is strongly desired.
- Working knowledge of setting up the operation of milling machines , lathes and/or press brakes .
- Working knowledge of engineering drawings, blueprints, production plans and/or work instructions.
- Working knowledge performing in-process inspection of finished parts utilizing appropriate inspection and gaging equipment.
- Knowledge of industry applicable laws, codes, ordinances and regulations.
- Knowledge of machine tools and equipment, machine shop procedures and practices, principals, and properties.
- Knowledge of basic mathematic principles to solve problems.
- The ability to work in a team environment and relate to all levels of employees.
