The Post Office Student Worker assists with the daily operations of the University Post Office by sorting and distributing incoming mail, processing outgoing mail, assisting customers, maintaining accurate records, and providing excellent customer service. The position supports efficient mail services for the University community while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.Essential Job Functions (Order from most to least performed duties.)Sort, organize, and distribute incoming mail and packages to students, faculty, and staff.Process outgoing mail and shipments, including weighing, labeling, and preparing postage.Provide customer service by assisting customers, issuing packages, answering questions, and maintaining mail logs.Maintain the organization, cleanliness, and security of the mailroom and perform general clerical duties.Expectation of Quality: Employee will support the mission of Sul Ross State University by providing high-quality, professional services, timely responses, and solutions to customer requests.
