Position Type: This is a 9-month- Remote; Full-Time, Non-Tenure Track OR Resident, Tenure TrackPrimary ResponsibilitiesGraduate counseling faculty are responsible for providing high-quality education to students enrolled in the online MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling program based at Eagle Pass. Faculty are expected to support program development, student retention, and CACREP accreditation efforts through high-impact teaching, service, and professional engagement.RolesandResponsibilities- Teach core and specialty CACREP-aligned graduate courses online.- Provide individual and group supervision during practicum and internship.- Maintain current knowledge in counseling theory, ethics, and practice.- Participate in curriculum development, evaluation, and assessment.- Mentor graduate students and contribute to student retention initiatives.- Engage in professional development and scholarly activity.- Serve on departmental and institutional committees as appropriate.- Support program compliance with CACREP standards, including accreditation self-study contributions and data collection.ProfessionalGrowth Activities- Maintain membership in counseling organizations (e.g., ACA, TCA).- Pursue continuing education in counselor education and supervision.- Present at local, state, or national counseling conferences.- Engage in scholarly research and writing related to counseling practice or education.ProgramSupportandCommunityEngagement- Uphold the mission and values of Sul Ross State University and the MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program.- Foster partnerships with clinical agencies for practicum and internship placements, especially in rural and bilingual service areas.- Promote access to mental health education in underserved regions.- Assist with student recruitment and program marketing across Texas.AdditionalInformation- This is a non-tenure-track position focused on teaching and supervision if remote. Resident faculty with a terminal degree will be tenure track.- Reasonable availability to students via virtual office hours, email, and phone is expected.- Participation in CACREP accreditation and regional licensure alignment is essential.Any qualifications to be considered in place of stated minimums, require the prior approval of the Human Resources Director.Responsible for personal safety and the safety of others; must exercise due caution and practice safe work habits at all times.This position is security sensitive.
