Job DescriptionAdjunct Instructor of Spanish for faculty pool; candidates may be called as department needs arise.The Languages & Literature Department periodically seeks a qualified, part-time instructor to teach Spanish courses.Teach Spanish courses at a variety of times and locationsCreate engaging lessons that promote student involvement and application of the materialUse a course syllabus for each course, following established institutional guidelinesEvaluate students to measure their progress in achieving course objectives and inform students in a timely manner of their progressMaintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community.Primary Responsibilities: Teach undergraduate- and potentially graduate-level Spanish courses depending on qualifications and needs of department. This instruction may be asynchronous or synchronous web-based or residential on the Alpine campus.Security Sensitive:This position is classified as Security-Sensitive and is thereby subject to the provisions of Texas Education Code §51.215 and Texas Government Code §411.094, which authorize employers to obtain and review criminal history record information for applicants.Responsible for personal safety and the safety of others; must exercise due caution and practice sate work habits at all times.
