Primary Responsibilities
Position Summary: Academic Affairs seeks a dependable and motivated Student Assistant to support the daily operations of the department and Provost’s Office. This position assists the Provost, Assistant Provost, and staff by providing administrative and operational support while helping maintain a welcoming and organized environment for students, staff, faculty, and visitors. The hours will primarily be during the workweek, Monday-Friday, between 8:00 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist with departmental administrative tasks.
- Provide general assistance to the Provost, Assistant Provost, and staff as needed.
- Utilize computer applications and office technology effectively to complete assigned tasks.
- Assist with preparations for committee and faculty meetings.
- Assist with preparations for graduation, faculty functions, and commencement ceremonies.
- Perform other duties as assigned that support the mission and operations of the department.
Security Sensitive:
This position is classified as Security-Sensitive and is thereby subject to the provisions of Texas Education Code §51.215 and Texas Government Code §411.094, which authorize employers to obtain and review criminal history record information for applicants.
