Preferred
A desired interest to work in sports industry is appreciated, but not necessary, however the successful candidate will be highly motivated to represent Sul Ross Athletics. Willingness to perform required manual labor which may include lifting, carrying, long periods of standing and walking, and other duties as assigned. Candidates should be aware of of the urgency of certain projects and the importance that their deadlines are met. Candidates should be comfortable in large crowds, and able to communicate effectively with the public and follow through with minimal direction.

Primary Responsibilities
Successful candidates will work in collaboration with other student assistants, Office Staff and under the direction of Game Administrator/Assistant Athletics Director and Athletics Director. Students will be tasked with executing game day set-up, taking up tickets, working game clock, keeping score, setting up and working concession stands, handling money, other game day responsibilities at the direction of the game operations department supervisor, responsible for sports equipment, laundry for sports uniforms, video, training with head trainer, communications for the athletic department, athletic grounds keeping, and other duties assigned.

The report contains information regarding campus safety and security including topics such as: campus law enforcement authority; crime reporting policies; campus alerts (Timely Warnings and Emergency Notifications); fire safety policies and procedures; programs to prevent dating violence, domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking; the procedures the University will follow when one of these crimes is reported; and other matters of importance related to security on campus. The report also contains information about crime statistics for the three most recent calendar years concerning reported crimes that occurred on campus; in On-Campus Student Housing Facilities; in Non-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by the University or a recognized student organization; and on public property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from, the campus. The report also contains fire statistics for any fires occurring in an On-Campus Student Housing Facility during the three most recent calendar years.
