Position Responsibilities
- Provide primary care within collaborative physician relationship
- Manage acute and chronic conditions
- Prescribe medications and order diagnostics
- Patient education and counseling
- Care coordination with specialists
- Quality improvement participation
- Opportunity for specialty focus
Requirements
- Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP)
- Board Certified (AANP or ANCC) as Adult or Family NP
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in primary care required — OR new NP graduates may start as RN with transition pathway (see below)
- Active Georgia APRN license (or RN license for new grad pathway)
- Prescriptive authority (upon NP transition)
- Strong clinical knowledge and excellent bedside manner
- Ability to manage patients independently when appropriate
- Authorized to work in the United States
