Direct Service Provider - APD Group Home
Job Description
Provide care to young men with Developmental Disability in an APD licensed group home.
Work in the home setting to support individuals with autism.
CPR and medication administration training provided
Candidates must be able to:
- Show up on time and ready to work
- Monitor residents to ensure their safety
- Maintain a professional and caring interaction with residents at all times
- Teach residents independent living skills including laundry, housekeeping, dishes, meal prep, personal hygiene, social skills, positive behaviors, communication and help them meet their goals
- Prepare meals and snacks
- Clean and disinfect the home environment
- Provide transportation in a company vehicle for community outings
- Type shift notes about each resident's activities
All candidates must have
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 year or more of experience working in healthcare, residential care and/or with persons with developmental disability
- Clean criminal background and clean 3 year driving record
- Common sense, good judgement, positive outlook, patience and kindness
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
