What are the responsibilities and job description for the Low Voltage Mobile Electronics Installer / Technician Position position at Suffolk County Communications?
Suffolk County Communications is looking for 12 Volt Electronic installers / technicians.
The position includes installing and troubleshooting Two-way Radios, Vehicle Cameras, GPS Units, Tablets, Emergency Lighting into various styles of vehicles.
Candidates with 12 Volt installation / troubleshooting experience such as car stereo, remote starts, emergency lighting, telecom equipment, vehicle surveillance equipment, GPS / AVL equipment, low voltage alarm systems, I.T. Cabling, HVAC, vehicle & machine mechanic experience are all welcome.
Industry certifications such as MECP certification, ETA Certification, etc. are a plus.
There are entry level positions available, and we are willing to train without 12-volt experience if the candidate if a good fit and has an interest in the industry.
You would be driving company vehicles from our location to the customers location to perform the work most of the time. You will need a valid driver’s license along with a dependable mode of transportation to and from our location. These positions require interaction directly with customers, good communications skills, an awareness of time management, and the ability to follow company policies are also requirements.
