YOUR WORK SCHEDULE
Shift: 11:30 AM–6:30 PM
Days: Weekdays, based on assigned scheduling needs
Expected Hours: Approximately 20–30 hours per week
Employment Type: Part-Time
Compensation: $18–$21/hour
We’re specifically seeking someone who can consistently work the afternoon shift and remain through 6:30 PM to help complete our end-of-day cleaning, sanitation, organization, and room preparation.
End-of-day availability is an important requirement of this position.
The goal is simple: When our children and clinical staff return the following morning, the center should be clean, organized, stocked, and ready for another successful day!
OUR MISSION — TEAMWORK MAKES THE DREAM WORK!
At SOS Hamilton, we believe exceptional care begins with exceptional teamwork.
Our Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) work every day to help children with autism develop communication, social, behavioral, and independent living skills.
But providing exceptional care takes more than therapy alone.
It takes clean treatment rooms, organized supplies, dependable hygiene assistance, prepared learning environments, and team members who are always willing to help.
That’s where you come in!
You’ll work alongside an existing hygiene support team member as part of a dedicated two-person support team.
Together, you’ll help create an environment where children feel comfortable, clinical staff feel supported, and every room is ready for learning.
YOUR PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. TOILETING & PERSONAL HYGIENE
- Assist children with diaper changes, toileting routines, and personal hygiene when appropriately trained and authorized.
- Help maintain clean, comfortable, and sanitary restroom and changing areas.
- Assist with handwashing, hygiene supplies, and appropriate personal-care routines.
- Support children’s comfort, dignity, privacy, and safety during hygiene-related activities.
- Respond promptly when RBTs or clinical staff need assistance with hygiene-related situations.
2. CLEANING, SANITATION & FACILITY CARE
- Clean and disinfect treatment rooms, toys, tables, equipment, and frequently touched surfaces.
- Respond promptly to spills, accidents, and sanitation needs throughout the center.
- Maintain clean and organized restrooms, shared spaces, play areas, and treatment environments.
- Follow established cleaning, infection-control, and safety procedures.
- Maintain a welcoming, sanitary, and comfortable environment for children, families, and employees.
3. END-OF-DAY CLEANING & NEXT-DAY PREPARATION
An important responsibility of this position is helping close out the center each afternoon and evening.
- Complete assigned end-of-day cleaning and sanitation checklists.
- Clean and reset treatment rooms after daily sessions.
- Sanitize toys, learning materials, tables, and frequently used equipment.
- Organize supplies, learning materials, and shared treatment spaces.
- Restock diapers, wipes, gloves, paper products, and other essential supplies.
- Check restrooms and common areas for cleanliness and readiness.
- Ensure assigned rooms and materials are prepared for the following morning.
- Communicate any supply shortages, equipment concerns, or unfinished tasks to management.
Our goal is to begin every morning with a clean, organized, fully prepared center.
4. ROOM PREPARATION, SUPPLIES & DAILY SUPPORT
- Prepare treatment rooms before sessions and reset rooms between activities.
- Organize toys, learning materials, and classroom supplies.
- Assist with arranging materials and preparing equipment as directed by clinical staff.
- Monitor inventory and notify management when supplies are running low.
- Retrieve and deliver materials or equipment requested by clinical staff.
- Complete appropriate on-site errands and routine operational tasks.
- Respond promptly to requests for cleaning, room preparation, hygiene assistance, and other support needs.
- Help reduce unnecessary interruptions so our RBTs and BCBAs can focus on delivering quality therapy.
5. ABA TRAINING & SUPERVISED CLINICAL PARTICIPATION
In addition to your primary hygiene and support responsibilities, you’ll receive structured training and exposure to the clinical services provided at SOS Hamilton.
You’ll learn how ABA therapy works, how individualized treatment programs are implemented, and how our clinical team supports children with autism.
Your training and responsibilities will include:
- Learning introductory ABA principles and appropriate ways to interact with children with autism.
- Observing experienced RBTs and BCBAs during one-on-one therapy sessions.
- Learning about reinforcement, prompting, communication, and skill-acquisition procedures.
- Participating in supervised, hands-on training with children.
- Learning to implement assigned treatment procedures and collect behavioral data.
- Completing appropriate clinical documentation when trained and authorized.
- Providing assigned one-on-one ABA therapy sessions after meeting applicable training, competency, supervision, and payer requirements.
Direct ABA sessions are a required secondary component of this position once the employee is appropriately qualified and authorized.
Employees should be comfortable working directly with children and participating in supervised clinical training.
Your primary responsibility will remain hygiene, sanitation, personal care, room preparation, and operational support.
WE’RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO TAKES OWNERSHIP!
We don’t want someone who simply waits to be told what to do.
We’re looking for someone who notices when a room needs attention, recognizes when supplies are running low, responds when a teammate needs help, and takes pride in getting things done.
Someone who understands that a clean room, a comfortable child, an organized treatment space, and a prepared clinical team all contribute to successful therapy.
We want someone who takes pride in leaving the center better than they found it!
TRAINING & ONBOARDING — WE’LL HELP YOU SUCCEED!
During your initial onboarding, you’ll receive structured training and guidance from our Clinical Director, RBT Trainer, and experienced team members.

- Learning appropriate clinical documentation and data collection procedures.

- Understanding professional boundaries, confidentiality, and child safety.
You’ll be supported as you develop the skills needed to contribute confidently to both our hygiene support team and assigned clinical activities.

- Reliable attendance and a strong sense of responsibility.
