We are seeking a highly skilled Healthcare Integrations Specialist to architect and own the connectivity layer of our platform. This is a critical technical role serving as the bridge between our internal systems and external partner ecosystems. You will not just manage integrations; you will engineer them—using Python to build high-performance data pipelines, custom parsers, and robust transformers.
If you are a builder with a strong foundation in software engineering and a deep understanding of healthcare data complexities, this is your opportunity to shape the infrastructure of a modern health plan.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-End Integration Ownership: Own the full lifecycle of data integrations with critical partners, including Clearinghouses, PBMs, and specialized point solutions.
- Engineering & Data Transformation: Build, test, and maintain custom parsers and transformers using Python to standardize complex, non-standard healthcare file formats into clean, usable data.
- Technical Project Management: Drive complex integration projects against critical timelines, coordinating directly with external technical teams to ensure successful deployment.
- Platform Architecture: Contribute code and strategy to the evolution of our core integration engine, helping scale our capabilities as an industry leader.
- Reliability & Observability: Implement robust monitoring and alerting systems to detect data anomalies early; swiftly debug and resolve production issues to ensure 100% data integrity.
Required Qualifications
- Healthcare Experience: 2–3 years of professional experience specifically dedicated to healthcare data integrations (payers, providers, or health-tech).
- Technical Proficiency: Strong proficiency in Python for data manipulation, scripting, and software development (1 year of production-level experience required).
- Data Standards Knowledge: Deep familiarity with healthcare data formats and protocols (e.g., HL7, FHIR, X12, EDI 834/837).
- Project Leadership: Proven ability to manage the full SDLC of integration components and handle communication with multiple external stakeholders.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with a track record of debugging and optimizing production data flows.
- Location: Ability to work on-site in our San Francisco office 4–5 days per week.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience contributing to the architecture of a scalable integration engine.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP) and SQL.
- Experience working in a high-growth startup environment.
