Medical Assistant Program Chair

POSITION SUMMARY:

Provide leadership in developing, coordinating, instituting and supervising all aspects of the assigned program. The program Chair is responsible for carrying out all functions necessary and required for compliance with accreditation standards.

RESPONSIBILIITES:

· Help ensure MA program maintains adherence with institutional accreditation.

· Assist the Campus Director in reviewing policies and procedures related to the MA program.

· Assist the Campus Director with orientation, mentorship and development of new MA Faculty Team Members.

· Assist the Campus Director with scheduled performance evaluations, and random unobtrusive observation of teaching performance, including visits to clinical/classroom areas.

· Assist Campus Director with conducting regular meetings with Faculty Team Members.

· Assist MA Faculty on educational and administrative issues related to the program.

· Meet on a regular basis with the Campus Director, keeping him/her informed of all matters pertaining to the program.

· Attend regularly scheduled meetings and other appropriate organizational meetings and keep abreast of changes affecting the educational goals and outcomes of the program.

· Maintain professional competence through participation in continuing education and other appropriate learning experiences.

QUALIFICATIONS

· Demonstrate ability to work effectively with others with integrity, imagination, initiative, and evidence of self-improvement.

· Have the ability to work under pressure, to guide and direct the efforts of subordinates and teammates.

· Have sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of post-secondary vocational education students.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

· 3 Years Full-Time Experience in the Healthcare Field

· Teaching Experience

· MA Certification

· Minimum of an Associate Degree

Salary : $28 - $30
