Suburban Drywall is seeking a Safety Assistant for our Waukesha Location. The Safety Assistant will assist the Safety Director in establishing reliable methods to improve safety performance and create a safe environment for all employees.

- Enforces all jobsite safety requirements
- Help maintain inventory of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety materials
- Travel to job sites to assist with field safety inspections
- Serve as an additional point of contact for safety-related questions from employees and subcontractors.
- Knowledge of how to erect scaffolding (will train)
- Must be fine working at different heights
- Help with maintaining scaffold inventory and other equipment at Waukesha location
- Deliver and pick up scaffolding for jobs
- Assist with monthly safety meetings at both locations
- Experience in construction or a safety-related role
- Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, or use ladders
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds as needed for safety equipment handling
- Must have a valid driver's license
- First Aid, CPR & AED certifications preferred or willing to become certified
- Must possess or go through OSHA 30 construction certification class
