This role is ideal for current or former city, county, or public works professionals who want to stay close to infrastructure—but with more autonomy, impact, and earning potential.
You will work directly with counties, municipalities, and engineering teams to introduce practical, proven solutions that address real-world challenges in road maintenance and construction.
This is not transactional selling.
It is relationship-driven, consultative problem-solving with people who speak your language.

You will work directly with counties, municipalities, and engineering teams to introduce practical, proven solutions that address real-world challenges in road maintenance and construction.

What You’ll Do
- Build trusted relationships with county engineers, road superintendents, public works leaders, and local officials
- Help communities identify better approaches to road construction, dust control, and soil stabilization
- Educate stakeholders on the technical and environmental benefits of Substrata’s solutions
- Guide projects from first conversation through implementation
- Represent Substrata at industry events, site visits, and meetings
- Collaborate closely with internal technical and support teams
- Manage your territory with autonomy while receiving strong onboarding and ongoing support
- Experience working in or with:
- County or city government
- Public works, roads, or infrastructure
- Engineering, transportation, or construction departments
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
- Comfort building relationships and having solution-oriented conversations
- A self-directed mindset and willingness to learn the commercial side of the business
- Integrity-driven approach—you want to help communities while doing meaningful work

Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $60,000
- Uncapped commission
- Year 1 On-Target Earnings: $100K–$110K
- Year 2 : $150K potential
