Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Paraprofessional- Building Based to join our team! In this vital role, you will work directly within school environments to support classroom instruction, assist teachers, and foster a positive learning atmosphere for students. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help create engaging educational experiences for children of various ages and abilities.
Responsibilities
- Support classroom teachers by assisting with lesson implementation, including lesson planning and curriculum development.
- Provide individualized attention to students, especially those with special education needs or disabilities, ensuring they receive appropriate support.
- Help manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management strategies and positive reinforcement techniques.
- Assist with literacy education, math activities, and early childhood education initiatives to promote foundational skills.
- Engage with children in toddler care, preschool, or Montessori settings, fostering a nurturing environment that encourages growth and curiosity.
- Support classroom management by maintaining a safe, organized, and inclusive space conducive to learning.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to monitor student progress and communicate effectively with parents or guardians as needed.
Experience
- Prior classroom experience working with children in educational settings such as daycare, preschool, private schools, or early childhood programs.
- Knowledge of special education practices and working with individuals with autism or other disabilities is highly desirable.
- Experience in lesson planning, curriculum development, or behavior management strategies is preferred.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, teachers, and families.
- Familiarity with childhood development principles and techniques for working with young children across various age groups.
