Substitute Teacher Service (STS) is hiring High School Paraprofessionals/Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) to support students in the Elizabethtown Area School District.

Pay: $18.00 per hour
Hours: 7:20 AM – 3:20 PM, Monday-Friday, following the student calendar

Position Overview
As a High School Paraprofessional/PCA, you will work alongside teachers to provide instructional, academic, and behavioral support to students in both general education and special education classrooms. This role is essential in helping students stay engaged, build confidence, and achieve success throughout the school day.
Responsibilities
- Provide instructional support to individual students and small groups under the direction of the classroom teacher.
- Reinforce classroom instruction and assist students in achieving academic goals.
- Support students with classwork, assignments, and homework.
- Assist students in both general education and special education settings.
- Encourage student engagement, participation, and task completion.
- Observe student behavior and provide appropriate redirection when necessary.
- Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and high ethical standards in all interactions.
- Participate in emergency drills and follow school safety procedures.
- Utilize classroom technology and educational equipment as needed.
- Help create a positive, respectful, and supportive learning environment.
Qualifications & Required Documents
- Pennsylvania Criminal Record Check (Act 34)
- Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance (Act 151)
- FBI Criminal History Record (Act 114)
- Proof of a TB test or chest X-ray completed within the past 3 months.
- Proof of a high school diploma or higher education (copy of diploma or transcripts accepted).
Additional required STS employment documents will be provided during the onboarding process.
