Substitute Teacher Service (STS) is hiring Elementary Paraprofessionals/Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) to support students at Bainbridge Elementary, East High Street Elementary, and Bear Creek School in the Elizabethtown Area School District.

Pay: $18.00 per hour
Hours: 8:30 AM – 3:45 PM, Monday - Friday, following the student calendar

Position Overview
As an Elementary Paraprofessional/PCA, you will work alongside classroom teachers to support student learning, encourage positive behaviors, and help create a safe, engaging, and successful educational environment. This role may include supporting individual students or small groups in both general education and special education settings.
Responsibilities
- Provide instructional support to individual students and small groups under the direction of the classroom teacher.
- Reinforce classroom lessons and assist students in meeting academic goals.
- Support students with classwork, assignments, and homework activities.
- Assist students in both general education and special education classrooms.
- Encourage student participation, engagement, and task completion.
- Observe student behavior and appropriately redirect when necessary.
- Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism in all interactions.
- Participate in emergency drills and follow school safety procedures.
- Utilize classroom technology and educational equipment as needed.
- Help create a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
Qualifications & Required Documents
- Pennsylvania Criminal Record Check (Act 34)
- Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance (Act 151)
- FBI Criminal History Record (Act 114)
- Proof of a TB test or chest X-ray completed within the past 3 months
- Proof of a high school diploma or higher education (copy of diploma or transcripts accepted)
Additional required STS employment documents will be provided during the onboarding process.
