What We Offer
The Systems Engineer – Communications & Electronics is responsible for delivering robust, secure and predictable command, control and data connectivity for our autonomous vessels in all customer‑facing opportunities. The role owns all vessel and shore communications and electronic systems, including networks, communications links and interfaces between sensors, autonomy systems and operator consoles.
Working as part of the Mission Success team, the engineer configures and validates communications for each deployment, rapidly resolves connectivity and electronic issues in the field, and provides structured technical feedback to engineering teams to continuously improve link reliability and supportability.

Required Qualifications
For certain roles, candidates may also be required to obtain and maintain a US Government security clearance. In the majority of cases, eligibility for clearance will require US citizenship and will be subject to applicable federal laws and regulations.

Responsibilities Will Include
Communications architecture and configuration
- Configure and maintain LOS/BLOS communications/networks for trials, training and demonstrations.
- Monitor link performance, diagnose issues and implement rapid fixes to maintain reliable command, control and data connectivity.
- Integrate and configure sensors, telemetry and electronic subsystems on vessel and shore‑side networks, ensuring correct interfaces and data flows.
- Maintain electronic control systems and interfaces to autonomy, control and payload software.
- Support power distribution to communications and electronic systems.
- Assist with electrical fault‑finding were issues impact craft performance, communications, networking or control‑station equipment.
- Analyse telemetry and network diagnostics to identify root causes of communications and electronic issues.
- Implement safe, rapid workarounds and restorations to recover functionality during live customer events but collect and consolidate lessons learned to mitigate reoccurrences.
- Prepare and validate communications and electronic configurations for each deployment, ensuring end‑to‑end connectivity.
- Support deployment, recovery and launch/recovery operations for platforms, antennas and control stations as part of the Mission Success team.
Required Qualifications
- Experience with RF communications, networking systems, or electronic integration
- Experience troubleshooting communications systems in field environments
- Military communications background
- Experience supporting unmanned systems communications
- Familiarity with telemetry and sensor integration systems
- Ability to work in maritime and field environments
- Ability to travel for operational deployments
