Position Overview
In alignment with business priorities and HR objectives, policies, and practices, the Human Resource Generalist will be responsible for a broad range of human resources activities in the areas of performance management, recruiting, organization development, employee relations, change management, training and development and communications. Under guidance from the HR Manager or Sr. HRBP, the Human Resources Generalist IIII will serve as an influential business partner to meet business and HR departmental goals & objectives.
Responsibilities
- Coaching, counseling, and influencing of business leaders in the areas of organization development, employee relations, performance management, succession planning, progressive discipline, and career development.
- Diagnoses, plan, implement training & development needs for client groups, including coaching, development, mentoring programs, class-room training, on the job training, and central training databases.
- Lead the performance management process for a specified functional area in a timely and efficient manner.
- Lead to ensure jobs descriptions and requirements are outlined correctly to ensure organizational and functional needs are met.
- Participate in and/or lead HR programs/projects to ensure their successful execution.
- Partner with leadership to handle employee relations issues as appropriate.
- Ensure accuracy, consistency and validity of HR data in HR data keeping systems.
- Gather and communicate HR metrics and analysis; Produce regular and on-demand reports and information by collecting, analyzing and summarizing data.
- Analyze trends and metrics as they apply to assigned business group(s); develop proactive actions to further support the business objectives and/or people strategy.
- In Partnership with the HR Leadership, provide support developing and effectively communicating company guidelines, procedures and initiatives.
- Proactively monitor the work environment to identify and address trends, identify areas of improvement and lead and execute continuous improvement projects.
- Champion other HR functions and partners to execute corporate wide HR initiatives and client specific programs. Implement HR programs effectively.
Qualification
- BA or equivalent in Human Resources, Business or similar field.
- Minimum of 3 years progressive HR experience required, Manufacturing and/or Marine experience preferred.
- HRIS experience and advanced analytical skills required, experience with Oracle HCM and/or EBS preferred.
- Intermediate skill level in Excel.
- HR expertise in talent management, workforce planning & analytics, Employee Relations experience required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including creation and delivery of presentation materials.
- Ability to support multiple shifts and travel as needed.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage time efficiently.
- Strong communication skills with ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Must be able to pass a background check, drug screen and credit check.
