POSITION SUMMARY

Subaru Superstore of Surprise is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Car Wash Attendant to join our Service Department.

The Car Wash Attendant is responsible for washing, cleaning, and preparing customer and dealership vehicles to ensure they meet Subaru's standards for cleanliness, presentation, and customer satisfaction. This position plays an essential role in supporting daily service operations by ensuring vehicles are handled safely, cleaned efficiently, and returned to customers in excellent condition.

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong attention to detail, a positive attitude, reliability, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced dealership environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·       Wash and clean customer, service, new, and pre-owned vehicles according to dealership standards.

·       Clean vehicle exteriors using approved car wash equipment, cleaning products, and procedures.

·       Vacuum and perform light interior cleaning, including wiping down surfaces and cleaning windows when required.

·       Clean wheels, tires, mirrors, windows, and other vehicle surfaces.

·       Thoroughly dry vehicles and inspect for water spots, dirt, streaks, or areas requiring additional attention.

·       Ensure all vehicles are clean, presentable, and ready for customer pickup or dealership delivery.

·       Safely operate, move, and park customer and dealership vehicles within designated areas.

·       Follow dealership procedures for handling vehicle keys, vehicle movement, and parking.

·       Inspect vehicles for visible damage and immediately report any concerns to management.

·       Maintain cleanliness and organization of the car wash area, service lanes, equipment, and surrounding workspaces.

·       Properly maintain and store cleaning supplies, towels, hoses, vacuums, and other car wash equipment.

·       Monitor cleaning supplies and notify management when additional materials are needed.

·       Assist Service Advisors, Service Valets, and other dealership personnel with vehicle preparation and movement as needed.

·       Follow all dealership safety guidelines, including the proper handling of chemicals and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

·       Maintain a professional appearance and demonstrate courteous behavior toward customers and coworkers.

·       Work efficiently to meet daily service demands while maintaining consistent cleaning quality.

·       Support a positive, teamwork-focused environment within the Service Department.

·       Perform other job-related duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

·       High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.

·       Previous automotive car wash, detailing, or vehicle cleaning experience preferred but not required.

·       Entry-level candidates with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.

·       Valid driver's license and driving record that meets company requirements.

·       Ability to safely operate automatic and manual transmission vehicles preferred.

·       Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.

·       Ability to follow instructions and complete assigned tasks efficiently.

·       Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain consistent attendance.

·       Ability to work independently and collaboratively with Service Department team members.

·       Strong organizational and time-management skills.

·       Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while handling multiple vehicle cleaning assignments.

·       Basic knowledge of automotive cleaning products and equipment preferred.

·       Commitment to workplace safety, customer satisfaction, and professional conduct.

·       Flexibility to work scheduled shifts, including weekends when required.
