What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Manufacturing Test Engineering Technician position at Sub-Zero Group, Inc.?
We are looking for a motivated individual that enjoys the challenges of being involved in new product / new process development. The person filling this position will work with a team to develop an understanding of the needs and requirement for new system applications and then delivering a solution satisfying those requirements.
Role Responsibilities:
- Work with team to design new systems for production / lab use.
- Generate system documentation to define the design of the system, including bills of materials, electrical schematics, layout drawings, and preventive maintenance procedures.
- Procure components and materials for new systems.
- Construct new systems and lead the installation of the systems in their final designated area.
- Assist in the troubleshooting and deployment of new systems.
- Train staff on the utilization and support / maintenance of new systems.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Associates degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or related field plus 5-7 years experience in a manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with electrical control systems, metering equipment, and electrical circuits
- Ability to read and generate electrical schematics and facility drawings
- Computer skills including CAD, spreadsheets, and word processing.
- Familiarity with SolidWorks a plus
- Programming experience (PLC’s, Python, LabVIEW, etc.) a plus.
