Suarez Assistant is a Miami-based engineering staffing firm. We place engineers and designers with established South Florida MEP and multidiscipline consulting firms, the teams behind the high-rise residential, hospitality, and large commercial projects going up across the state. We work directly with the principals who make the hiring decisions, so our candidates skip the resume pile and get in front of the people who actually decide.
This position is with a long-established Miami engineering firm with a multi-decade track record in electrical and mechanical design for large-scale projects. We share the firm name with candidates on the first call.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are hiring an Electrical Engineer to join the firm's Miami office, full-time and on-site. You will design electrical systems for large and high-rise projects from concept through construction documents, working directly in Revit alongside mechanical, plumbing, architectural, and project management teams.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Design electrical systems for high-rise and large commercial projects
Produce and coordinate construction documents directly in Revit
Perform power distribution, lighting, and electrical load calculations
Coordinate with mechanical, plumbing, architectural, and project management teams
Support projects through permitting and construction administration
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
EIT or PE license (Florida PE, or the ability to obtain one by endorsement, is a plus)
Demonstrated experience on large projects and high-rise design
Ability to design directly in Revit. This one is mandatory, not a nice to have
Able to work on-site in Miami, Florida, full-time
Authorized to work in the United States
NICE TO HAVE
Florida Building Code experience
Bilingual English and Spanish
AutoCAD, Navisworks, or other BIM coordination tools
Experience taking projects through Miami-Dade permitting
