What are the responsibilities and job description for the CADD Technician position at STV Group?
STV is seeking a CADD Tech with 5 years of relevant experience for a position with our Transportation Group.
Primary responsibilities will include:
- Create and update design plans: Develop detailed roadway and transportation plans using OpenRoads Designer and MicroStation.
- Generate cross-sections, and construction drawings, ensuring adherence to project specifications and standards.
- Collaborate with engineers: Work closely with civil engineers to translate design concepts into accurate CADD drawings and models.
- Ensure compliance and accuracy: Perform quality checks to ensure all designs meet state DOT and federal standards while maintaining accuracy.
- Manage project files: Organize and maintain drawings and models using ProjectWise or similar document management systems.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or technical certification in Computer-Aided Design (CAD), Civil Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in drafting and designing for civil engineering projects.
- Proficiency in OpenRoads Designer (ORD) and MicroStation.
- Strong understanding of civil engineering design standards and specifications, particularly in roadway, transportation, and site development projects.
- Experience creating and modifying plan sets, cross-sections, and profiles in ORD and MicroStation.
- Familiarity with file management and organization within ProjectWise or similar document management systems.
- Ability to interpret engineering plans, specifications, and design guidelines.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all deliverables.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with engineers, designers, and project manage
Compensation Range:
$64,848.58 - $86,464.77
