Job Description: E Commerce Order Selector
We operate an E Commerce based fulfillment center here in Palmetto, Fl. Pick, Pack, and Ship. We inventory all our products in house, and ship both parcel and freight. Orders come in via our multiple E Commerce platforms, then we go to work. Inventory comes in, Inventory goes out. We are looking for a team member to be a part of this process! This position, like our existing team, will be a utility player, starting in one area, and being cross trained in more areas as needed. Shipping, Receiving, Inventory management are all on the table. Duties Can Include:
- Assemble product kits for customer orders and stock kits in correctly labeled locations
- Pull customer orders accurately and efficiently while maintaining a quick pace, this requires strong attention to detail, with the ability to learn product locations and descriptions quickly
- Use company Website and Inventory Management Software to look up product details, descriptions, or pictures as needed to help identify items, and self-educate to grow as a team member, becoming more knowledgeable on the parts to pull orders
- Package customer orders according to company best practices. Develop the skillset and library of strategies needed to properly and safely pack customers orders so they arrive at their destination.
- Load completed packages onto pallets, or into semis for pickup safely and with care
- Follow and maintain workplace safety standards, which is key to cultivating and protecting a great work environment
- Identify issues with product or inventory during the process of pulling or packaging orders and communicate those issues
- Efficiently and correctly use all packaging tools and equipment as instructed
- Maintain workstation packaging supplies and packaging inventories, keeping a neat and organized workspace
- Maintain packaging equipment and machines, with regularly scheduled maintenance and upkeep
- Unload incoming orders from semi-trucks with forklift, pallet jacks, and by hand as needed
- Receive incoming orders by following our check-off procedure and quality checks
- Stock incoming orders and inventory in the correct bin locations
- Perform scheduled cleaning and organization tasks in the warehouse
- Perform additional warehouse and fulfillment tasks as needed
Requirements:
- A positive attitude and general goodwill towards others, with a respect for fellow team members and the customers we service.
- The ability to work efficiently and quickly in a fast-paced warehouse environment, with prior warehouse operations experience preferred: (shipping, receiving, and inventory management)
- Prior experience with forklifts, pallets jacks, and similar warehouse equipment
- Prior experience with UPS, FedEx, USPS, or LTL Shipments and Software which will help with understanding our operations and make onboarding much smoother.
- Prior forklift experience is certainly preferred but training will be offered.
- Prior Experience with Inventory Control and Inventory Software, is just another area that will make familiarity with our operations much smoother.
- Must be proficient at using computers
- Prior Experience following detailed check-off lists for accuracy and being driven to excel at pulling orders perfectly.
- Prior Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet, Web Navigation, and Email.
- Ability to regularly lift 50lbs or more unassisted and be comfortable with the requirements of a physically demanding position. Must be comfortable working in a physically demanding environment consistently.
- Ability to use independent judgment, analyze detailed information, and formulate strategy to problem solve issues daily.
- Must be detailed oriented
- Must be a learner, both by being taught, and self-taught, having a mindset of constant growth
- Must be comfortable communicating with all team members
- Must be comfortable in a ventilated warehouse environment in the Florida temperatures.
- Must be comfortable standing and walking for long periods of time
- Great hand / eye coordination is required
Compensation and Benefits:
- Starting Pay $20 per hour.
- Monday - Friday - 40 hour 5 day work week! Overtime is available and required during peak season
