What are the responsibilities and job description for the Wood Shop Worker position at Stulz Air Technology Systems, Inc.?
Summary:
Preparation of Skids, Crates, and any wood components, partially or completely for shipping, Production, and other areas as needed. Working in the Wood Shop or on shop floor by performing the following duties in reasonable & productive time frames:
- Must be able to read a tape measure to 1/8th inch.
- Must be able to follow verbal instructions.
- Must be able to Cut, Measure, Build skids and crates with minimal instructions or Supervision
- Must be able to use power tools (i.e. Chop Saw, Circular saw, drill, ect.)
- Must be able to use various hand tools (i.e. Square, hammer, pliers, ect.)
- Must be able to use pneumatic tools (i.e. Nail gun, Staple gun, Air ratchet, ect.)
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education & experience.
- N/A
- Ability to read and understand English instructions.
- Ability to speak effectively with employees of organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The employee is frequently exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The employee will be exposed to semi-controlled environmental tempertures.
Hourly rate: $18 - $19.50
