Summary:
Prepares surfaces of machines and manufactured products to be powdercoated by performing the following duties in reasonable and productive time frames:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Must be familiar with the storage, care, handling, and use of breathing equipment.
- Cleans grease and dirt from product.
- Cleans application equipment.
- Removes rust from metal with acid, wire brush, or steel wool.
- Hangs materials to trolley into booth for coating.
- Labels finished materials with correct part numbers, for delivery to stock.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- Must complete and pass respiratory program prior to performing tasks related to mixing or applying chemicals or powder. The employee must be able to maintain a passing status in this program.
Language Skills:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules.
- Ability to read and understand English instructions.
- Ability to speak effectively with employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers & common fractions.

Work Environment:

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
