Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Teacher/Tutor to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a strong background in the hard sciences such as physics, chemistry, and/or mathematics. This role involves working with students from middle to high school levels, providing personalized instruction to enhance their understanding and academic performance. The Tutor will be responsible for developing engaging lesson plans, utilizing learning technologies, and fostering a supportive learning environment.
Duties
- Provide one-on-one or group tutoring sessions tailored to individual student needs.
- Develop and implement effective curriculum and lesson plans that align with educational standards.
- Utilize learning technology to enhance the tutoring experience and engage students.
- Teach various subjects including Physics, Chemistry, and Math (Algebra, Geometry, Calculus, Trigonometry). From Regular to AP Levels.
- Manage classroom dynamics effectively to create a positive learning environment.
- Assess student progress regularly and adjust teaching methods accordingly. Provide post-session tutoring notes.
- Support students in developing study skills and strategies for academic success.
- Collaborate with parents and educators to ensure a cohesive approach to student learning.
Skills
- Strong background in curriculum development and lesson planning.
- Proficiency in tutoring subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Math, Statistics, Calculus, Trigonometry, Geometry, and more.
- Experience with one-on-one or small classroom management techniques.
- Familiarity with learning technologies that facilitate effective teaching.
- Excellent computer skills for administrative tasks and lesson preparation.
- Experience working with middle to high school level students in an educational setting.
