What are the responsibilities and job description for the STUDENT-Choral Area Assistant position at Student?
The successful applicant will have a strong familiarity and involvement with the Choral Area at Ithaca College (i.e. ensemble singing, music performance/education studies). They will consult regularly with the Director of Choral Activities and Choral Area faculty to support choral activities in the following capacities:
- Maintain superlative attendance and participation in choral ensembles and performances.
- Weekly guiding meetings with choral area faculty.
- Mass communication to ensembles with details related to music, scheduling, events, and participation.
- Direct communications and collaborative planning for the High School Choral Invitational.
- Recording accurate attendance for ensembles as assigned.
- Act as liaison between student and professor.
- Organize information related to other student leadership opportunities.
- Organize information related to choral concert programming.
The successful applicant will interview with Choral Area faculty and will be expected to respond to discussion prompts on optimal work ethic, dependability, and feasible areas of administrative assistance to the Choral Area.
