Responsibilities
- Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, clipping, and styling tailored to each dog’s breed, size, and individual needs.
- Handle dogs with care and confidence, utilizing proper animal restraint techniques to ensure safety for both pets and staff.
- Conduct pet care activities such as ear cleaning, nail trimming, teeth brushing, and skin checks to promote overall health.
- Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized and in excellent condition.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand their grooming preferences and provide expert advice on pet care routines.
- Support other team members with animal handling tasks that require assistance, including heavy lifting of larger dogs.
Qualifications
- 3 Years proven experience in pet grooming with a strong understanding of breed standards and grooming techniques.
- Knowledge of animal handling, restraint methods, and pet care best practices.
- Ability to lift heavy animals safely and comfortably while maintaining proper posture.
- Ability to work in a team oriented, drama-free environment.
- Excellent customer service skills to build trust with pet owners and address their needs professionally.
- While we do provide front office staff and a bather, we require strong communication skills combined with a compassionate attitude toward animals and their owners.
