What are the responsibilities and job description for the Weekend Paint Supervisor position at STS Technical Services?
STS Technical Services is hiring a Weekend Paint Supervisor to join our growing team in Milwaukee. This is a steady, full-time opportunity with a unique schedule: work four 10-hour days over the weekend, and choose one additional weekday to complete your 40-hour week. Overtime is available but never required.
We're looking for someone who brings strong leadership, hands-on expertise, and a desire to build consistent, high-quality results in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor production flow and resolve manufacturing issues quickly
- Lead the paint team to ensure consistent output and quality standards
- Apply 2-part polyurethane paint using a spray gun up to 65 PSI
- Support automotive paint applications at 25-45 PSI (preferred)
- Troubleshoot equipment and paint process issues to minimize downtime
- Perform accurate measurements and calculations to meet customer specs
- Work flexible hours when needed to support urgent production runs
- Maintain open communication with team members and supervisors
- Ensure safety, cleanliness, and compliance on the shop floor
- 2 years of polyurethane spray gun painting experience
- Automotive or industrial painting experience preferred
- Manufacturing background with problem-solving ability
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
- Ability to lead, motivate, and keep the team on schedule
- Self-motivated with excellent communication skills
- Ability to pass a competency test, spray test, physical, and drug screen
- Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus
