Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks, including inspecting electrical connections, wiring, relays, and batteries, following wiring diagrams.
- Operate and test machinery to diagnose malfunctions, record maintenance work, and document repair costs.
- Conduct regular inspections of drives, motors, belts, and fluid levels; replace filters and complete maintenance tasks according to checklists.
- Use cleaning equipment, solvents, and tools to maintain machinery and ensure proper operation.
- Disassemble defective equipment for repair and install new or replacement parts.
- Diagnose mechanical issues, utilizing repair manuals and parts catalogs.
- Maintain inventory and requisition necessary machine parts and supplies.
- Ensure equipment is safe and compliant with regulatory standards.
- Perform maintenance on special equipment components, ensuring all accessories are up to date.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Experience: At least 5-7 years of advanced technician experience in a similar role, with advanced skills in GSE maintenance.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with hand tools and pneumatic tools, strong problem-solving skills, and a high level of technical aptitude in plant production equipment maintenance.
- Self-Starter: Able to work independently, take direction, and maintain equipment efficiently.
- Must adhere to all safety regulations, including OSHA and EPA standards.
- Ability to wear a respirator when required, per OSHA 29 CFR 1910.134.
- Flexibility to work various shifts and hours as needed.
