Position Summary
As a Sheet Metal Mechanic, you’ll be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and fabricating structural components on turbine-powered, transport-category aircraft. Responsibilities
- Perform structural maintenance and repairs on transport-category aircraft in compliance with FAA regulations
- Use blueprints, maintenance manuals, and schematics to diagnose and complete structural repairs and modifications
- Fabricate, install, and replace sheet metal components using specialized tools and precise measuring equipment
- Maintain accurate documentation of all repairs and inspections
- Collaborate with FAA representatives, pilots, OEMs, and internal teams to ensure high-quality outcomes
- Support compliance with both Part 145 and Part 135 repair and operational standards
- Adhere to safety protocols while keeping the work area clean and organized
- Work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Perform additional tasks as directed by supervisors
- Valid FAA Airframe License required; Powerplant License strongly preferred
- 1–2 years of recent experience in aircraft structural maintenance (turbine-powered aircraft preferred)
- Experience working in a Part 145 repair station and Part 135 operational environment (required)
- Inspection Authorization (IA) is a plus
- Strong ability to interpret maintenance documents and technical manuals
- Capable of working independently on structural, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
- Excellent attention to detail, communication skills, and safety awareness
