Position Summary
STS Industrial is seeking an experienced Outside Sales Account Manager to support growth in the Houston industrial market. This role focuses on developing new business while managing and expanding relationships with existing customers in the refining, petrochemical, industrial, and contractor markets.
The ideal candidate has strong PVF product knowledge, established relationships within the Houston industrial community, and a proven track record of driving revenue growth through strategic customer partnerships.
Required Experience
- Minimum 5 years of Outside Sales experience in the Houston, Texas industrial market
- Minimum 3 years of PVF product knowledge and experience
- Established professional relationships within the industrial, refining, petrochemical, or contractor markets
- Strong understanding of Pipe, Valves, Fittings (PVF), Fasteners, and Gaskets
- Local community ties and professional presence within the market

Key Responsibilities
- Develop new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and industry relationships
- Manage and grow existing customer accounts
- Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate PVF, fastener, and gasket solutions
- Maintain consistent customer contact through site visits, meetings, and relationship management
- Utilize Salesforce CRM to track sales activity, opportunities, and forecasting
- Negotiate pricing and close sales agreements to meet revenue targets
- Work collaboratively with internal sales, purchasing, and operations teams to ensure customer satisfaction
- Monitor market activity and identify opportunities for new accounts and market expansion
Skills & Qualifications
- Proven ability to develop and maintain long-term customer relationships
- Strong negotiation and closing skills
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
- Self-motivated with strong time management and organizational skills
- Experience using CRM software (Salesforce preferred)
- Ability to work independently while contributing to team goals
Compensation
Total compensation potential: $100,000 – $200,000 annually
Compensation structure will include a combination of base salary and performance-based incentives.
