Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role located in South Sioux City, NE, with the flexibility to work from home as needed. As a Local Coordinator for the STS Foundation, you will mentor high school exchange students, build and support relationships between students and host families, and ensure a smooth cultural exchange experience. Responsibilities include recruiting and vetting host families, coordinating with local high schools for student placements, providing ongoing support for students and families, and serving as a representative of STS Foundation’s mission within your community. This role involves frequent community engagement and planning events to foster cultural understanding.

Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively connect with students, host families, and schools.
- Community engagement and organizational skills, including recruiting, event planning, and conflict resolution.
- A passion for cultural exchange, mentoring students, and fostering positive, collaborative relationships.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to a hybrid work environment with remote and in-person responsibilities.
- Previous experience in education, community outreach, counseling, or similar fields is highly beneficial.
- Familiarity with the South Sioux City, NE area is an advantage for local outreach efforts.
