The Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for monitoring, auditing, and improving quality systems and processes across manufacturing and production operations. This role works closely with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to maintain product integrity, ensure compliance with industry regulations, and drive continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing quality systems, ISO standards, and energy sector compliance requirements (renewable, oil & gas, or power generation).
Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance processes and inspection procedures for manufacturing operations.
Conduct audits (internal and external) to ensure compliance with company, industry, and regulatory standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, API, ASME).
Inspect raw materials, in-process components, and finished products for adherence to technical specifications.
Identify, document, and investigate nonconformances (NCRs) and coordinate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues and optimize processes.
Maintain and analyze quality data to identify trends and recommend process improvements.
Prepare and update QA documentation including SOPs, inspection records, and control plans.
Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) policies during inspections and audits.
Assist in supplier qualification and vendor audits for quality compliance.
Support training programs for staff on quality standards and procedures.
Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives using lean or Six Sigma tools.
Qualifications & Skills
1 years of experience in quality assurance, preferably within energy, manufacturing, or industrial production environments.
Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, or similar quality management systems.
Experience with inspection techniques, statistical process control (SPC), and quality metrics.
Proficiency in using QA tools such as 8D, FMEA, CAPA, and Root Cause Analysis.
Familiarity with ERP and quality tracking systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
Excellent analytical, documentation, and reporting skills.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and process discipline.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and data analysis tools.
Effective communication and teamwork skills; able to collaborate across departments.
Knowledge of manufacturing safety standards and regulatory requirements in the energy sector.
