- Must be able to communicate in simple English to receive instructions, interact with supervisor, and understand repair manuals and work orders.
- Follow all procedures with regard to lock out/tag out and confined space entry.
- Must be able to understand and communicate in simple English to receive training instruction and perform team responsibilities
- Acquire a license to operate Sit-down Fork lift, Boom Lifts, and Scissor Lifts
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Comply with current Quality System requirements.
- Comply with all safety and health policies and procedures.
- Work with other Building Service Technicians and Maintenance Mechanics.
- Demonstrate ability to learn basic electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Follow all procedures with regard to lock out/tag out compliance and confined space entry.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Comply with current Quality System requirements.
- Perform other work as assigned by the supervisor.
- Hazardous waste training shall be provided to the employee within six months of the date the employee filled this position, and a review of this training provided every 12 months thereafter. The employee will complete a program of classroom instruction. The employee shall be supervised until training is completed. The training shall consist of a review of proper management of hazardous waste, satellite accumulation containers, how to review and prepare a hazardous waste manifest, and proper labeling requirements.
- Perform other work as assigned by Management including 5S cleaning.
- Occasional heavy lifting of 50 pounds, routine lifting of items up to 50 pounds.
- Continuous standing, walking, and bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, and reaching, for 12 hr. shifts. Repetitious work.
- Will be exposed to extreme environmental conditions (hot, cold, humid).
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment.
- Withstand occasional exposure to extreme environmental conditions such as heat, cold, odors, and dust.
- Ability to climb ladders, squat, bend, and work in confined spaces.
- Hand and Power Tools, welders, grinders, torch, 2-way radio
- Personal protective equipment as required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Mechanical skills required
- Knowledge of natural gas train systems preferred.
- Manufacturing/industrial maintenance experience
- Ability to work independently in a timely manner.
