The Director of Marketing (DOM) is the mastermind behind Structure Tone’s marketing magic—fueling growth and keeping us at the top of our game. Reporting to the EVP, Regional Leader and teaming up with other Regional Leadership, the DOM makes sure our pursuits are sharp, our reputation shines, and our brand hits the mark.
This role is all about big-picture strategy, killer proposals, bold brand moves, and enterprise-wide initiatives. We’re looking for someone who knows the AEC marketing world inside and out, brings fresh, creative ideas to the table, and leads with integrity and heart.

Key Responsibilities
- Proposal & Top Pursuit Management : Coordinate and manage RFPs/RFQs, oversee go/no-go decisions, lead proposal development, and ensure timely, high-quality submissions and client presentations.
- Regional Strategy : Partner with Structure Tone leadership to implement annual business plans, sector marketing plans, and budgets to drive revenue and profitability goals.
- Brand & Communications : Oversee development of marketing collateral, STO Insights contributions, awards, sponsorships, and corporate social responsibility initiatives.
- Social Media & Digital Communications : Oversee the strategy and execution of our social media channels as well as our intranet/website content.
- MarTECH Stack: Responsible for oversight of the systems usage, processes and data integrity (Salesforce, OpenAsset, Cosential, Monday.com).
- Team Leadership : Supervise regional marketing staff of 10-20 marketing professionals (pursuits, communications, multimedia, and managers); support hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management.
- Campaigns & Events : Implement client events, conferences, sponsorships, advertising, photography/videography, and cross-promotional initiatives across practice areas.
- Marketing Alignment and Collaboration: Build trusted partnerships with the STOBG Corporate Marketing Team as well as the extended marketing community.
- Continuous Improvement : Lead post-project debriefs, monitor competitor activity, and identify opportunities to strengthen market position.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or related field.
- 10 years of marketing experience in a medium to large AEC organization.
- Proven expertise in pursuit strategy, proposal development, and brand communications.
- Strong organizational, writing, and presentation skills; able to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, Salesforce/CRM tools, and digital publishing platforms. Experience with Salesforce, OpenAsset, Cosential, Monday.com a plus. Ability to collaborate with executives and lead marketing staff in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Salary: $140,000 - $200,000
Compensation: In addition to base pay, eligible for discretionary bonus based on company and individual performance.
