Accounting Operations Coordinator
Structural-Builders & Restorations (S-BR) is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Operations Coordinator to join our growing team. This is a great opportunity for someone with at least 1 year of accounting experience, preferably in construction, who is looking to build a long-term career in a fast-paced and dynamic industry.
In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting our day-to-day accounting operations, helping ensure financial accuracy across multiple construction projects, and working closely with both accounting and project management teams, as well as supporting broader administrative and compliance efforts.
What You’ll Do:
• Manage full-cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable (AP/AR) processes
• Assist with job costing, budget tracking, and project expense analysis
• Support progress billing (AIA), including preparation and follow-ups
• Handle lien waivers and maintain proper documentation compliance
• Perform reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, and project-related costs
• Partner with project managers to monitor budgets and financial performance
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in accounting systems (Foundation)
• Assist with month-end close, reporting, and financial data accuracy
• Provide day-to-day support to the administrative team and Head of Compliance with operational and documentation tasks
What We’re Looking For:
• 1 year of accounting experience (construction industry strongly preferred)
• Understanding of job costing and construction accounting principles
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
Nice to Have:
• Experience with AIA billing, retainage, and lien waiver processing
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
