Groundskeeper

About The Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Groundskeeper to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will take pride in maintaining the appearance and safety of outdoor areas, including lawns, gardens, walkways, and facility grounds. This role plays a vital part in creating a clean, attractive, and welcoming environment for staff and visitors alike.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform regular grounds maintenance such as mowing, edging, trimming, pruning, watering, and fertilizing.
• Maintain flower beds, trees, shrubs, and other landscaping features.
• Operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment (mowers, blowers, trimmers, etc.).
• Keep sidewalks, parking lots, and outdoor areas free of debris, litter, and hazards.
• Assist with seasonal maintenance including snow/ice removal, leaf cleanup, and storm preparation.
• Report any grounds or equipment issues to the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Support facility maintenance or setup tasks as needed (e.g., event preparations, minor repairs).
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  
  

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1 year of experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or outdoor maintenance.
• Working knowledge of lawn care techniques and landscape equipment.
• Ability to perform physical labor in varying weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.

• Experience with irrigation systems and basic repairs.
• Knowledge of fertilizers, pesticides, and safe handling procedures.
