Responsibilities
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, edging, pruning, and planting to keep grounds vibrant and healthy
- Use hand tools, power tools, and machinery such as excavators for landscaping projects, tree care, and hardscape installation
- Maintain lawns through fertilization, aeration, and irrigation system adjustments to promote lush growth
- Conduct tree trimming and pruning to ensure safety and enhance landscape appearance
- Assist with winter maintenance to keep outdoor areas accessible during inclement weather
- Support construction projects involving garden beds, walkways, patios, or retaining walls by operating equipment and applying horticultural principles
- Perform routine maintenance on tools and machinery to ensure safety and efficiency during daily operations
Experience
- Prior experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, or related outdoor maintenance roles is highly desirable
- Mechanical knowledge of power tools, lawn care equipment, and construction machinery such as excavators is preferred
- Familiarity with horticulture practices including plant care, tree trimming, and gardening techniques
- Ability to operate hand tools safely and efficiently in various outdoor environments
- Knowledge of irrigation systems, snow plowing procedures, and hardscape installation is a plus
- Strong understanding of landscape maintenance standards and safety protocols
- A proactive attitude with excellent physical stamina to perform outdoor work year-round in all weather conditions
