Responsibilities
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, edging, and pruning to keep outdoor areas pristine
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for planting, weed control, aeration, and other groundskeeping activities
- Maintain irrigation systems by inspecting, repairing, and adjusting sprinklers to ensure optimal water distribution
- Execute lawn care routines including fertilization, aeration, overseeding, and pest management
- Assist with gardening activities such as planting new flora, mulching beds, and seasonal flower rotations
- Conduct routine inspections of the grounds to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards
- Support overall landscaping projects by preparing soil, installing new plants or features, and maintaining existing structures
Experience
- Prior experience in landscape maintenance or groundskeeping is highly preferred
- Knowledge of horticulture principles and plant care techniques
- Familiarity with irrigation systems and troubleshooting issues effectively
- Experience using hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruners, along with power tools like trimmers and blowers
- Ability to perform physical tasks outdoors in various weather conditions for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to grounds upkeep and safety standards
