Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in procedures, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Schedule appointments efficiently, managing calendars for multiple providers to optimize clinic flow.
- Verify patient information, insurance details, and update medical records accurately using electronic health record systems.
- Communicate clearly with patients regarding pre-visit instructions, appointment details, and follow-up care.
- Support medical staff by preparing patient charts, collecting medical histories, and handling administrative tasks.
- Answer phone calls promptly, address patient inquiries, and direct calls to appropriate team members.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with privacy regulations and clinic policies.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working in a medical or dental office setting is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology and procedures to facilitate effective communication.
- A plus if you can work as dental assistant as well.
- Proven ability to provide excellent administrative support within a busy office environment.
- Familiarity with Dentrix office software, and scheduling systems.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly while maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Experience in dental office environments is a plus but not required.
