What are the responsibilities and job description for the Drafter I position at Strongwell and Careers?

- Learn to follow customer specifications and prepare related drawings, as needed, for the customer and for the Fabrication Department on the CAD system.
- Learn to communicate clearly and professionally with the customer when determining what specification drawings are needed and what product is required.
- Assist Assembly or Fabrication Departments in interpreting orders or drawings if such departments are experiencing problems.
- Become familiar with sourcing non-standard parts to assist Purchasing Agent in ordering.
- Learn the order entry process
- Create detailed CAD drawings for fiberglass components and pultruded profiles.
- Translate engineering specs into production-ready drawings for composite materials.
- Update and revise drawings based on prototype testing and production feedback.
- Ensure drawings meet structural, thermal, and chemical resistance requirements for composite applications.
- Maintain organized drawing archives and version control for compliance and traceability.
- Work overtime as business needs require.
- Comply with Company guidelines, rules, and procedures as contained in the Employee Handbook and miscellaneous memos.
