What You’ll Be Doing
- Serve as Lead Installer on residential HVAC replacement and new system installations, working autonomously or leading a helper or junior installer
- Install and commission furnaces, AC systems, heat pumps, ductless mini-splits, and boilers
- Run and braze refrigerant lines; perform evacuation, charging, and startup testing
- Fabricate, modify, and seal ductwork; complete gas piping, venting, and condensate connections
- Complete electrical and thermostat/controls hookups
- Review job scope and equipment with the homeowner, and walk them through the finished system
- Train and mentor junior installers and helpers on proper technique and safety
- Document work through mobile service software (notes, photos, job updates)
- Maintain clean, organized, and professional job sites
- Coordinate with dispatch, service technicians, and the install manager as needed
What We’re Looking For
- Mid-career HVAC installer with 5-7 years in the trade (required)
- Valid NH HVAC/gas license (required)
- MA gas license (preferred)
- Proven ability to run installs independently, or lead and direct subordinate help, with minimal supervision
- Strong knowledge of refrigerant lines, brazing, gas piping, venting, and duct installation
- EPA 608 Certification (required)
- Ability to read load calculations, equipment specs, and install plans
- Ability to lead, train, and hold others to quality standards
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Comfortable using mobile apps/service software
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in attics, crawl spaces, and on ladders
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Positive attitude: culture fit is as important as technical ability
